DODECADEISM

Overview

This cult, known as Way of The Twelve (Jèrura Mušu) to its adherents, centers on the worship of six pairs of deities, each made up of one male and one female deity.

Extent

This cult is practiced by the Harasanulu and Huùsanulu peoples of central Ninšon.

Tenets

This sect teaches that there are 12 deities, six male and six female, and that they are paired (sometimes portrayed as siblings, sometimes as spouses, and sometimes as being unrelated). These deities are all worshipped at the same temple, each pair has its own dual altar/chapel. The temples are octagonal with one face for the entrance, one side for the high altar where services are held, and the remaining six sides devoted to the smaller altars dedicated to each pair of deities.

The twelve deities are as follows

Sects

There are no formal sects but there are doctrinal issues that divide the sect. These issues have to do with the relationship between the members of each pair, which, while deemed relevant by theologians, is seen as unimportant by most of the sect’s worshippers. These sects are as follows

-          Fratermists: See the pairs as siblings

-          Coniugiists: See the pairs as spouses

-          Finitimusist: See them as unrelated, joined only through the metaphysical connection between their portfolios.

Structure

The cult’s hierarchy is also the political hierarchy of Kùr Hahèsa. It consists of three levels.

-          Grand Hierophant: An absolute theocratic monarch elected by the five Hierophants.

-          Hierophants: These five are administrators elected by the High Priests of their see.

-          High Priests: These are administrators appointed by the Grand Hierophant, one for each district.

Variants

There are no sects or sub-sects in this cult

Relations with Other Cults

Dodecadeists view all other cults as heathens, and they are not tolerated.
