WET AND DRY CALENDAR

Wet and Dry Calendar

Ekrod qa Dr [EHK-rod | QAH | DEE-ree]

The Wet and Dry calendar is used throughout eastern Djapar. It divides the year into two unequal seasons: the Wet Time (269 days) and a Dry Time (131 days).

Each of these is divided into a number of months of 43 days and one intercalary day, except for the month of Rdekyas which is divided into two 22-day half months separated by midwinter day. The year starts on the northern spring equinox (SD 1).
